Enviroshake Roof in Muskoka

This Lake of Bays project combined Enviroshake roofing with custom standing seam work across the main cottage, boathouse, and storage shed. Three curved cupolas finished in Mountain Grey steel create a distinctive contrast with the new roofing system.

Project Overview

From Cedar Shake to Enviroshake

The aged cedar roofing was removed, and each roof deck was covered with a high-temperature underlayment to provide continuous protection beneath the new roofing. Custom metal flashings, ridge ventilation, and snow guards were then installed as part of the Enviroshake system.

Enviroshake preserves the traditional appearance of cedar shake while requiring less maintenance. The curved cupolas were completed using traditional double-lock standing seam techniques with SSAB GreenCoat Pural BT steel. The full project was finished within three weeks.
