How does Snap Lock Standing Seam differ from Mechanical Lock Standing Seam?

The main difference between Snap Lock Standing Seam and Mechanical Lock Standing Seam is the method of panel attachment. Mechanical Lock Standing Seam panels are manually seamed while Snap Lock Standing Seam panels interlock by “snapping” together. Mechanical Lock standing seam is better suited for a low slope roofs.
